Me

Hello, welcome to my blog, cuddles & muddles & muddy puddles.

cuddles & muddles & muddy puddles

I am a stay at home mum to a cheeky, wonderful ToddlerGirl and I love to write. These two things pretty much sum up why I started blogging.

Most of my writing in recent years has been with my work (marketing) hat on. I have missed writing creatively. The geeky part of me wanted to get stuck into an online project while I took some time out of the workplace. So cuddles & muddles & muddy puddles was born.

Some facts about me (and clues to the sort of things I blog about):

  • I am a bookaholic. My ‘to read’ shelf is full to bursting. Since having ToddlerGirl I have discovered this addiction extends to children’s books. We have a Little Bookclub for the two of us which we’d love you to join, or you can find out about some of our favourite reads on our Toddler Bookshelf.
  • I am rediscovering my creative side. There are a lot of hours to fill in a day when you have a toddler! I find the time goes much more quickly and easily when I have a few activities up my sleeve for ToddlerGirl. Messy, creative, imaginative, noisy, quiet play – you name it, we will try it! I have discovered some brilliant blogs to inspire me and I write about the activities we try out in the section Playtime Pinspiration, as well as sharing some of my own ideas for fun toddler activities.
  • I like to talk. My school reports often referred to me as a chatterbox; writing this blog is probably some sort of extension of that! Anything else that pops into my head relating to my life at home with ToddlerGirl is filed under Mum Talk.

It’s not always easy to find time to blog as a busy mum, but I’m loving every minute that I get to sit down and write. A few of my favourite posts are below; these still really resonate with me and/or make me smile to myself!

I’d love to hear from you if you are reading. Please feel free to add a comment to the posts (these are moderated to try to prevent spamming) or to email me.
